Just had an awesome experience at Universal Joint! The brisket dip was absolutely on point—tender, flavorful, and packed with smoky goodness. The teriyaki wings were just as impressive, perfectly cooked with a great balance of sweet and savory.
We lucked out with beautiful weather and grabbed a table outside, which made the whole experience even better. Huge shoutout to our server, Mandy—she was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was spot on from start to finish.
Great food, great service, and a perfect outdoor vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

Though I live in Lawrenceville this is the first time I have finally given this place a try. I would give the food a complete five stars but since this is my first time there and I've only had one dish I can't fully give it completely five stars though what I ordered was very good. I tried out the patty melt and tater tots. The sandwich was very good and the customer service from our hostess Ashley, was very nice. The atmosphere was cute and intimate as we sat in the booths along the wall. There are TVs about to watch "the game". I will definitely come back and try something else.

First experience : ordered 2 meals $40 worth of carry out, they left out an order of fries, it’s fine one serving of fries was enough for two people. One bite in, and I noticed a bug in the toppings, immediately I was disgusted, wondering if I had already consumed one….. it happens so I took pics and called the restaurant. Sent the manager pics and he took accountability and text me back offering me a refund and a $40 credit for my next visit .
Fast fwd…. 2 weeks we were in the area and decided let’s give it another try and cash in our credit and have drinks as well.
Our experience that I shared with the manager I was initially in contact with is below. I’m posting because of the lack of acknowledgement and the bar tender was extremely nasty for absolutely no reason.
Hi Sawyer,
I wanted to let you know about our experience today. We stopped by the restaurant to use the gift card and enjoy a few drinks, but unfortunately things went wrong right away.
When we walked in, no one greeted us or acknowledged us—we genuinely couldn’t tell who worked there. We eventually sat ourselves, and when Jen came over, I let her know we were there to use a gift card you had left. From that point on, her demeanor noticeably changed. She was short, dismissive, and her body language made it clear we were an inconvenience.
I provided both my name and my husband’s name to help locate the gift card, but her response—or lack of one—made us feel unwelcome, and we decided it was best to leave.
I appreciate you offering the opportunity for a good experience at UJ. The previous to-go order didn’t impact my overall impression, but today’s interaction with Jen unfortunately did. No need to worry about the gift card.
Wishing you the best.

We stopped in for lunch and a beer. Busy neighborhood spot near the Lawrenceville square with a solid bar and a covered patio. Cold beer, quick pour, and a strong tap list.
Queso and salsa landed first. Fresh chips, clean flavor, good heat. I had the 4 oz smash burger with fries. Great sear, soft bun, fries stayed crisp. My wife ordered the quesadilla with fries. Plenty of filling and a good cheese pull. We were both happy.
Service moved fast and stayed friendly. Prices felt fair for the quality. I will be back the next time I’m in town.
If you like patios, craft beer, and burgers, put Universal Joint Lawrenceville on your list.

This place has been in downtown Lawrenceville for a hot minute. I finally got around to trying it. The food was exceptionally good. I personally felt like it was a generous amount of food for a decent price. I will definitely be back. Great menu options with a variety of drinks. Our waitress Ashley was friendly :)
