I am not sure what has happened since they first opened until now, but I ordered food Saturday night and disappointment does not begin to describe how I felt. I ordered via Doordash around 8pm, the app said they were taking orders until 8:40pm. After about 10 minutes I noticed the restaurant did not confirm my order ( this is NOT the first time this has happened), so I called them and the woman who answered literally went back and forth with me saying they were about to close, she was not sure if they had this item or that item. I hear a gentleman in the back and she says "we can make it for you". As if she is doing me a favor, I ordered from DoorDash who clearly had your hours, so if you do not want to make food after 8pm, simply change it! The suya, which used to be my favorite dish was disgusting! Nothing but fat, hardly no seasoning. The peanut soup was such a small portion compared to what is given when you dine in, completely not worth the price. My fufu was not wrapped in plastic, so the outer layer was hardened..really? The curry goat was decent, but when I say the portion was small, you could see the bottom of the container. I asked for goat and chicken with my peanut soup, I had majority chicken, tough, dry chicken. This will be my LAST time here. Go to Ike's Cafe for African cusine, the food is consistent every time. You know what to expect and what you are getting every time you eat there.

🥇Award for FLAVOR!! Anyone can go to a chain restaurant and enjoy a meal, but when you support a local restaurant with a international flare…ooooo weeee you have something special. I decided to surprise my husband with some West African cuisine and they did not disappoint. Their cuisine is more Ghanaian, but it was soooooo good. My favorite was the Suya and the red snapper! The service was amazing. I did get my food to go, but because it was taking time to prepare my food, Tamika made sure I knew what was going on. She even threw in some Puff Puff for my patience. The food was hot and FRESH!!! Thank you for putting your heart and soul in your food. I tasted the love 💖💖

The service for our To-Go order was quite pleasant as well as the conversation. We ordered the Ox-Tails, Beef Patties and Okra-Lamb stew. We were so surprised to find that we had more grocery store vegetables and enough rice to last for a generation. We tasted the Ox tail and to me it didn't taste like the Jamaican way and lacked flavor. The beef patties were so tiny. We're accustomed to the normal pattie sizes. We weren't too happy with the flavors but it seems most here are happy with the flavors. Best wishes Owners! I know you will do well with your kind personalities and the attention you give the customers. The flavor didn't work for me but its only my opinion. Be blessed!

We had a family dinner here and we are indeed going back. The food was delicious. The price was very reasonable, and the atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. The decor had an African touch and matched the food perfectly. The meatball appetizer was amazing as well as the goat suya pictured below and I highly recommend both. If I could give ten stars I would.
