I’ve lived in this area my whole life so I can easily say there’s not that many good Jamaican spots around but I’m not kidding when I say this is the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had. Today was my first time trying this restaurant & I literally had to call the restaurant and tell them it was so good. I got the jerk chicken plate, oxtail mac n cheese, and beef patty. 10/10!!!!! And all for $25?! That’s a literal steal for how much food you get. I wish I got a picture of the mac n cheese and beef patty but I was so eager to try. The food was perfectly seasoned, not salty at all, and the portions?! Huge!! I have to save the other half for tomorrow. I’ll definitely be back to try other things on the menu. Also the staff was so kind!! You won’t be disappointed here.
I’ve always liked this place. I visited recently after a long hiatus, and was still pleased. I bought the jerk ribs dinner. The ribs were seasoned well and veryyy tender. The rice was good, but just a hint too salty. The mango lemonade was yummmmmy. Jamaican restaurants are expensive overall, but at least the food was good. The staff was very polite and patient while we decided on what we wanted to eat.
As a first time customer the first thing I noticed when I arrived, it was pretty busy for 2 pm on a Wednesday. I ordered one of the lunch specials and wow was Ovation’s food exactly what I was hoping for. It was delicious and flavorful. Now I’m tempted to try their desserts!
Simply amazing. First time and definitely will not be the last. I've been searching for a good carribean spot on this side for some time and I must say I have finally found it. Jerk Chicken was pure fire and the Brown Stew Chicken was so flavorul. And let's not forget about the oxtail gravy the gracious server smothered my rice and peas with. Big Boy heaven!!! LAWD!! Been looking for a good Caribbean spot for a while and finally found one. Everyone was friendly and the food portions were very generous. We ordered the Jerk Ribs….yes you read that right. JERK RIBS!! They were absolutely delicious! Everything was on point. Never had authentic Caribbean cuisine before but this was the perfect experience for a first timer. Along with the ribs you get rice and peas with your choice of gravy, cabbage and plantains. We also ordered bread pudding and black cake. Everything was *chefs kiss*.
