Tried this place out on 3/23/23. My Wife had the smothered chicken over rice, black eyed peas, collard greens, and cornbread. I had the baked chicken, green beans, macaroni, and roll. My Daughter had just a side of collard green, and fried okra. My Wife said the peas were a little salty, but still good. My Daughter said the greens were good, but had a little heat to them. My chicken was very tender, and seasoned good, as well as the green beans. The macaroni, just was not up to my expectations. I really cook a macaroni, and even though it wasn't bad, it was not good. I started to post a pic of my macaroni, to show you what it should look like.
The staff was very nice, and it seemed to be liked by a lot of people. While I was there, someone came in for dinner with their daughter, because the mother had it for lunch. I won't take any points off for the macaroni, but I would suggest making the macaroni sauce more cheesier, and topping with a layer of block cheese. I will probably be returning again.

As a Lawrenceville resident, I'm usually in the mood to try what's new in town. The restaurant industry is hard, but for those that can make it past that first year...their chances for success are that much better.
This relatively new establishment for soul food is a good addition to the Lawrenceville/Grayson fast food cluster.
Location:
Good location next to the Waffle House and Pawn Shop on Scenic Hwy (near intersection of Grayson Hwy). Entrance to parking lot is on Scenic Hwy though. I got confused and tried to enter via Grayson Hwy (still able to walk over).
The order:
Was able to order over the phone; not too many rings before my order was taken. Order was read back to me, but the total wasn't quoted until arrival at the restaurant. Fine for me, since I could ball park the amount based on the menu pics I found online.
Prices are okay, a little higher than your Wendys or Long John Silvers...but they have to make a living right!
Order was ready in 20 minutes (as quoted).
Order was correct, and LOOKED good upon acceptance.
Upon consumption, most of the order tasted pretty good. The ribs were a bit salty and my son's chicken leg was under cooked (luckily i caught this before feeding him anymore).
Overall:
Great customer service, little high on the price point, cooking the meat more well done could be improved on.

I was looking for some good soul food and the reviews seemed good but I am disappointed. The customer service was goood (greeted as soon as I walked in)! The restaurant smelled good and was clean. Now on to the food! It was very small portions, the chicken was over cooked and burned, the food presentation was terrible, the fish sandwich was two small pieces of fish and a few fries! The food was barely seasoned!

This is my 1st time going to Moe’s
Let me tell you I wanted soul food and that’s what I got. Everything was tasty the Smothered Pork Chops , bake Chicken and Fried Chicken Wing, tender pulled off the bone very flavorful.
Real collard Green and Peas , Mac and Cheese, deserts and corn bread a drink
You get 3 choices of bread.
I was smacking and singing. I don’t eat the skin on nobody’s chicken l ate the skin😁I wanted someone else cooking and I made a great decision delicious.
Most definitely this is my go to for my friends and family 👍🏽

Decided to give this place a try based off some of the reviews and I am so glad I did!! We tried the meatloaf, fried catfish, Mac n cheese, potato salad, fries, and pineapple upside down cake. Everything was delicious. The potato salad is probably some of the best I've ever had, and I was pleased with the Mac n cheese (which is hard for some restaurants to get right). The fish was perfectly cooked and tasty, and the pineapple upside down cake was a delicious treat at the end. The only critique I would have I that the meatloaf was lacking a little in flavor, but was perfectly moist. Give them a try!
