Love the food and friendly staff. Been a customer for years. Recently bought ackee and salt fish but I got a plate full of bell peppers and onions. I was really disappointed, especially because I spent almost $20 for my plate. But I'll definitely be a return customer. And their rum cake is the BEST!!
Had a great experience this past Saturday at this location. I wasn’t greeted upon entry but the young man that took my order made my plate very well, food was fresh, and delicious! Checkout was quick and he made my experience great! I dint mind returning here. 8/31 Update, visited here for a 2nd time today and the young lady taking the order was not very friendly. She had on a face mask so her words were coming out muffled, so you can’t get irritated when customers have to ask you to repeat yourself. Also there were only scraping of the cabbage left, yet she tried to scoop from nothing to put on my plate instead of refilling the pan, unacceptable.
I love the food here, I could eat this everyday of the week. The oxtail and curry chicken plate is awesome. Every Wednesday they have Red Pea soup with nice chunks of beef. The food is always fresh and the employees are always friendly and helpful. We need more authentic Jamaican restaurants like this!
Customer service was great but the food was very disappointing. Ackee and saltfish barely had saltfish and was bland, hominy corn porridge was flavorless yet somehow overly salty. Festival saved the experience and even that was very dense and tasted like it was soaking up oil. Will not be coming back.
The chicken was still bleeding some of the others looked dried out plus the chicken had a funny taste. Like it was not fresh.
